Photo supreme mac11/22/2023 More declared functionality: maps, objects detection, etc. For 41K photos the Photo Supreme catalog took about 6 GB, the Photo Mechanics made it 15 GB (maybe I should play with the cache/proxies settings though). The Photo Supreme then crashed on creation of thumbnails, but the catalog has been built faster than with the Photo Mechanic. The Photo Mechanic has a bit weird GUI to my taste at the beginning, takes more time to get usual to. The very few advantages of the Photo Supreme: After that it showed 1 (one) map and stopped working. I created the Google API key in order to use the maps with geotagging. In fact, it never finished even the catalog building task, crashing in a middle of building the thumbnails. The Photo Supreme will not be my product of choice, it's too buggy. I've started a serious comparison "process", but it has ended very quickly. I have 41K photos on a NAS storage, mixed JPG and RAWs (Nikon, Canon, Olympus raw formats). Installed both DAMs on my Macbook Pro 15" 2018. The goal is to find a good DAM to replace the Lightroom (I don't agree to support the subscription model anymore). The past week I tried both trials of the Photo Mechanic Plus and Photo Supreme.
